SALSA Baggage Rules

On all SALSA domestic flights within Haiti, each ticketed and checked-in passenger is allowed one piece of checked baggage of up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) per passenger and one small personal item such as a purse or laptop that will fit under the seat in front of them at no additional charge.

Additional baggage, or baggage that is over the 50 pound allowance, may be checked at an overweight/excess bagage rate of $1 (USD) per pound (USD $2.20 per kilogram), rounded to the next full pound.

Passengers directly connecting (on the same day) to a SALSA flight from one of our interline partners may carry the baggage allowance of that partner at no additional charge.  Any excess or overweight baggage may be checked at the standard excess or overweight rate of USD $1.00 per pound (USD $2.20 per kilogram).
